UCAS Points Tariff

For Warwickshire College’s full-time higher education courses, entry requirements are given as UCAS points. This table shows how you can add up your points based on qualifications that you have achieved. The more qualifications at higher grades, the more points you will have.

For most courses, a pass in a relevant National Diploma is usually sufficient. The following are some examples of offers made by Warwickshire College admissions tutors based on A Level grades.

40 points requires a minimum of:

  • one six unit A level at E grade

80 points may be achieved by any of the following:

  • one six unit A level at C grade;

  • one six unit A level at E grade +  two three unit AS levels at E grade;

  • another similar combination

160 points may be achieved by:

  • a one twelve unit VCE award at grade CC;

  • one six unit A level at grade C plus two three unit AS levels at grade C;

  • two six unit A levels at grades B and D;

  • two six unit A levels at E grade and two three unit AS levels at grade C;

  • other combinations.

You may only count points once!

Points can only be aggregated for three unit AS levels that are NOT studied at full A level (six unit award).  So a student achieving E in a six unit English A level can only count 40 points NOT 40 for the six unit award and 20 for the three unit AS award.
