Animal Welfare and Veterinary Nursing

Warwickshire College offers courses in Animal Welfare and Veterinary Nursing at three sites:  Moreton Morrell, Pershore College (Worcestershire) and Birmingham Nature Centre.

The College is well equipped with the latest technology and houses a wide variety of animals, birds, reptiles and insects.
The Moreton Morrell centre offers a £1 million state-of-the-art centre, praised by government inspectorate Ofsted as ‘outstanding’, and facilities include a commercial grooming parlour, day boarding for dogs, a cattery that provides short term care through the Cats Protection League and a fully equipped veterinary nursing theatre suite.  The farm park has alpacas, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, poultry and pigs.

Pershore College offers similar facilities including a tropical room, demonstration rooms, veterinary nursing laboratory, grooming parlour, lecture rooms, isolation rooms, food preparation area and analytical laboratory.   There are extensive plans for expansion including establishing a veterinary nursing training area and improved animal welfare centre.

In addition, the College works in partnership with the Birmingham Nature Centre to provide delivery of some courses at that site.

Warwickshire College is an RCVS Veterinary Approved Nursing Centre and leads a consortium of training veterinary practices for veterinary nursing training and assessor status.
