Birmingham Nature Centre
Birmingham Nature Centre is on the Pershore Road, the centre keeps animals, including Red Pandas, Meerkats, Lemurs and Otters.
Animal Welfare and Management run First Diploma in Animal Care and National Award and Diploma in Animal Management courses based at the Birmingham Nature Centre.
Students gain experience of caring for mammals, birds and reptiles including some endangered species which have been bred for the first time.
Courses were first run at the Nature Centre in 1997 and over the years over 250 students have gained animal care qualifications.
This has enabled them to get employment at places like Dudley Zoo, Twycross Zoo, the Blue Cross and the RSPCA.
