|
| The HNC in Organic Horticulture is a part-time course run at Pershore College. This well established course takes place on one day per week for two years and is ideal for those interested in a career change or for those who want to start their own business in the organic sector. Using our organically certified facilities, students will develop a sound knowledge of organic principles and standards. It is a broad-based course aimed at those who aspire to grow edible crops organically or manage organic gardens.
Pershore College is the West Midlands Regional Centre for the Royal Horticultural Society, the national headquarters of the Alpine Garden Society and holds the National Philadelphus and Penstemon Collections for the National Council for Conservation of Plants and Gardens. Pershore College has Centre of Vocational Excellence status for Horticulture and has had organically certified facilities for more than 20 years.

Entry Requirements
|
Students should have one of the following qualifications:
- One A-level pass plus five GCSE passes
- BTEC National Diploma or GNVQ Advanced in an associated subject
- Completion of an Access to Higher Education course
- Equivalent qualifications or experience
Applications from those without standard entry requirements, will be considered on an individual basis.
Applications should be made on a University of Worcester application form and returned to Julie Freeman at Pershore College.

Assessment

Assessments are completed during the course and may include practical tests, written tests, essays, reports, projects, designs, verbal presentations, etc.
